Getting in the Game: Research, Prepare, and Negotiate the Exhibition of Your Artwork

Each part of the series will be held at a different venue.
Program: 3 – 4 pm; followed by networking reception
$5 suggested donation at door / CASH ONLY
This three-part series will focus on different aspects of exhibiting your artwork, from finding appropriate exhibition opportunities, preparing a strong portfolio and application, and best exhibition practices. This event was organized by the Dayton Visual Arts Center, Rosewood Gallery with the City of Kettering, and the Springfield Museum of Art and is the inaugural event in a series of practical practice workshops for artists. Learn the basics of preparing your work for the jury process or presenting a solo exhibition proposal. Artist statements, resumes, documentation of artwork, and more will be discussed. Winter Class Registration is currently open! Classes available for youths and adults.
ART LUNCH is an opportunity to share your artwork and meet other artists. Bring a lunch. Meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday. 2/9, 2/23, 3/8, 3/22, 4/12, 4/26.

Classes
Committed to arts in education for ages ranging from preschool to senior adults, Rosewood Arts Centre conducts more than 400 classes annually in dance, theatre, creative writing, music, visual arts and fine crafts. Studio & Studio Rentals
Studio space for the community is available at Rosewood Arts Centre for drop-in use. Fully-equipped visual arts studios of pottery, darkroom development, stained and formed glass, sculpture and painting are provided. A beautiful sprung floor dance studio is also available for drop-in use. In addition to the community use studios, individual spaces for private artistic production and development are available. & Facility Rentals
The Kettering Arts Council, Kettering Children's Choir, CIL Ukulelians, Kettering Woodcarvers, Richens Academy of Irish Dance and many other artistic and cultural organizations utilize the facility on a regular basis. Local artist groups and community organizations call the centre home. Comfortable accommodations, such as optional coffee service and well-lit, easy access parking, make Rosewood Arts Centre a favorite meeting location. Rosewood Gallery
Rosewood Gallery was established in 1986 in the Rosewood Arts Centre. The gallery specializes in the exhibition of contemporary art by local, regional and national artists. It is dedicated to the encouragement and creation of new works and to the promotion of visual arts in the Dayton, Ohio area.
