Project Limit:
Storms Road from Far Hills Avenue to Shroyer Road and Schuyler Drive from Far Hills Avenue to Shroyer Road.
Project Description:
Includes replacement of deteriorating curbs, drive approaches and sidewalks, followed by a mill and overlay of the streets. This is an assessment project.

Preliminary assessment letters will be mailed to property owners at the end of January. Anticipated bid date is March, 2012. Construction is expected to occur over the summer.

Wilmington Pike Reconstruction - Ansel to Smithville
Project Limit:
The project will start approximately 200 feet south of Ansel Drive and will terminate at Y-Intersection of Smithville Road.
Project Description:
The project involves improvements to Wilmington Pike from Ansel to Smithville. The improvments will include new pavement, curb, sidewalks, storm sewers, and street lighting; the replacement of the existing traffic signal at Ansel Drive; and the replacement of the existing 12" water main. It will also include the deck replacment of the bridge near the intersection of Imperial Blvd.
This project is being funded by a Federal grant, which was provided through the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. This project is also being funded by a State grant through the Ohio Public Works Commission. The local share of the funding will be shared between the City of Kettering, Montgomery County Engineer's Office and Montgomery County Water Services.

The project is scheduled for a bid opening on February 16, 2012. Work is anticipated to start in April 2012 and be completed in the summer of 2013

Residential Rebuild - Oakview Plat
Project Limit:
Streets within the neighborhood of Shroyer Road to Ackerman Boulevard and Brookfield Drive to East Stroop Road. Click HERE to view a map of the area.

Kettering Parks Lots- Recreation Complex South Parking Lot and Kanter Park Lot Resurfacing
Project Limit:
The south parking lot of the Kettering Recreation Complex and Kantner Park parking lot off of Brownleigh Road.
Project Description:
The project consists of resurfacing the south parking lot of the Kettering Recreation Complex and Kantner Park parking lot. In addition to resurfacing the parking lots, the Recreation Complex lot will include curb repairs, the addition of a 4' sidewalk to improve access and additional parking spots added. The Kantner Park lot will get new curb around the perimeter of the lot.

Woodman Drive Resurfacing - Danube Ct. to E. Dorothy Ln.
Project Limit:
The project will begin at Danube Court and continue to East Dorothy Lane.
Project Description:
The project involves a mill and overlay of Woodman Drive along with repairing any bad concrete joints in the road base, and replacing any sidewalks, and concrete curb that needs to be repaired.

2012 Asphalt Overlay Program
Project Location:
This year’s Asphalt Overlay Program includes milling the existing asphalt and placing new asphalt on several residential streets.
Project Description:
Each year the City of Kettering evaluates the conditions of all the city streets to create the annual street maintenance program. After the streets are evaluated, they are then ranked according to the pavement condition and a list is created for the streets that may be paved this year. 2012 Sidewalk, Curb, & Drive Approach Repair Program
Project Limits:
Neighborhood bounded by Dorothy Lane to Vale Drive and Purdue Drive to just west of Blackhawk Road; as well as additional locations throughout the City of Kettering. Click HERE to view a map of the area.
Project Description:
Includes replacement of existing concrete curb, drive approaches and sidewalks that are in poor condition. Property owners are assessed the cost for replacement of the concrete.

2012 Concrete Repair Program
Project Limit:

Project Description:
Includes the repair of existing concrete items including street panels, and medians on public streets, along with curb and flatwork in City parks and facilities.

Traffic Signal Replacements
Project Limit:
The project involves the replacment of eight signals at the following locations: Brownleigh/Wilmington, Forrer/Smithville, Smithville/Wilmington, Smithville/Tabor, Dorothy/Mohican, Parklawn/Wilmington, Overland/Stroop, and Danube/Woodman.
Project Description:
The project involves the replacement of eight signalized interesection, which includes the installation of new poles, equipment and the rerouting of existing fiber otpic cables.

Woodman & Patterson/Research Intersection Improvements
Project Limit:
The project limits include the intersection of Woodman Drive and Patterson Rd/Research Blvd—extending on Woodman Drive from Rainbow Drive to 800 feet north of Patterson Road, and extending on Patterson Road to Bauer Avenue and on Research Blvd to 200 feet east of Rainbow Drive.
Project Description:
This project will improve the alignment of Woodman Drive and add turn lanes in all directions. In addition the traffic signal will be rebuilt. This project is primarily funded with Federal and State funds.
