The City of Kettering is an active member of the Montgomery County Safe Communities coalition and provides services in the field of grant management, data and research analysis and Occupant Safety education and demonstrations.

The City of Kettering Fitting Station program has received state and regional awards and recognition. The child passenger safety teams have been serving Kettering residents since the year 2000 having educated parents and grandparents by inspection of over 3,000 safety seats and boosters.
