The Municipal Court hears civil cases up to $15,000 and small claims up to $3,000. These cases may be filed at the Clerk of Court’s office.
Misdemeanor cases, arraignment and traffic violations are heard in court on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9 a.m. Preliminary hearings on felony cases are heard on Tuesdays and Fridays when scheduled. Jury trials are heard on Wednesdays, when scheduled. Civil hearings are held on Tuesdays at 2 p.m., and other civil trials as scheduled. Small claims are heard on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m.
Presiding over all cases in Kettering Municipal Court is the Honorable Robert L. Moore and the Honorable Thomas Hanna. Small claims and civil cases are heard by Magistrate Richard Boucher, attorney-at-law. The elected Clerk of Courts is Andrea White.
Offices of the Court are open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mastercard, Visa, cash, personal check, certified check or money order are accepted for payment in the Clerk of Courts office.
All records held by the Clerk of Courts, and sessions held in Court, are open to the public.
