The City of Kettering volunteer program strives to provide volunteers with a positive experience that will promote creativity, expansion of knowledge, and utilization and sharing of their skills and talents.

Current volunteer opportunities:

 

Volunteer drivers are needed for our senior transportation program.  This position requires one morning or afternoon a week.  Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.  A background check will be conducted.

 

A volunteer receptionist is needed at Rosewood Arts Centre from 5-7 Wednesday evenings.  Duties include answering phones and greeting visitors.

Greeters are needed at the Kettering Fitness & Wellness Center (Trent Arena).  Duties include greeting visitors, scanning passes, issuing locks and issuing towels.  Shifts are 2-3 hours and are during the day.

Eligibility requirements for volunteering:
Volunteers need to be at least 15 years of age. We sometimes allow younger youth groups to assist with special projects providing an adult accompanies the group.  
Our volunteers include those with professional and technical work experience and even people who don't live in Kettering.  
Volunteers 18 years of age and older in certain positions will be subject to a background check.
